Prambanan Temple in Yogyakarta, Indonesia

Prambanan Temple is on of them many temple in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Is the biggest Hindu heritage in the region of Central Java and Yogyakarta Special Region. Prambanan is a complex of enshrinement in the main temple facing the east, with the overall shape like mount ‘wayang kulit’ 47 feet tall.
This temple is located on the island of Java, approximately 20 km east of Yogyakarta, 40 km west of Surakarta and 120 km south of Semarang, just on the border between Central Java and Yogyakarta Special Region. Rara Jonggrang Temple is located in the village whose territory is divided between the districts of Sleman and Klaten.
This temple was built in about the year 850 AD by one of these two, namely: Rakai Pikatan, the second king of Mataram I dynasty or Balitung Sambu, during the Sanjaya dynasty. Not long after construction, the temple was abandoned and began to corrupt.
This complex area of tourism, there are six temples. Sixth temple represent the two groups facing each other, situated on a square yard, with sides 110 meters long.
In the yard stood the other temples, it is two brace temple with a height of 16 meters line of sight, which one stands to the north and the other to the south, four temple curtain and four corner temples.
Prambanan temple complex built by the Kings Wamca (Dinasty) Sanjaya in the 9th century and is now a tourist attraction that can be visited every day between 06.00 am – 06.00 pm. Prambanan temple complex is situated only a few hundred yards from the highway Yogya-Solo crowded public transportation pass.
